While fire protection is our focus, St. Paul Boulevard Fire Department is also committed to serving our community with a range of programs and services. From life-saving CPR classes to child seat installations, we strive to make a difference in the lives of Rochester, NY residents. Explorer Program
The St. Paul Blvd. Fire District Explorer Post provides young adults, aged 14-18 an exciting opportunity to challenge themselves, and learn the skill of firefighting.
The Explorer Post hosted by the SPBFD provides training, insight, career and vocational knowledge and tailors its membership toward a career in Fire and Emergency Services. The explorer post adheres to the Boy Scouts of America policies and operates according to the West Irondequoit Central School District calendar. The post meets weekly, on Wednesdays, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm and bi-weekly during July and August.
Explorer Post Members are eligible to participate in St. Paul Blvd. Fire Association social activities, training opportunities, parades, and more!

CPR Classes
Learn how to save a life by attending CPR classes at St. Paul Boulevard Fire Department. Our certified instructors will teach you the proper techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in a hands-on, interactive training session. You’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to act in an emergency situation and potentially save someone’s life.

Car Seat Installation
Did you know that 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly?
We are dedicated to helping parents keep their children safe on the road. Our department does not distribute free car seats, but we offer child safety seat installation services by appointment.
For an appointment with our certified Child Safety Seat Technician, please call 585 266-4645. You can leave a voicemail message, and she will contact you as soon as possible to schedule your appointment. With our help, you can be assured your child’s car seat is installed safely and securely.
